How to Use Windows Quick Assist

Need help? Let us see what you see.

Windows Quick Assist is a free tool built into Windows 10 and 11 that lets you securely share your screen with a technician so we can guide you through a fix—or take over temporarily to solve the issue for you.

Here’s how to set it up in just a few steps.

🧑‍💻 What You’ll Need:

  • A Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC

  • An internet connection

  • A phone call, text, or email from us with a security code

🛠 Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Open Quick Assist

  • On your keyboard, press the Windows key

  • Type Quick Assist and hit Enter
(You can also find it under Start Menu → Windows Accessories → Quick Assist)

🔑 Step 2: Get Help from Us

  • In the Quick Assist window, under "Get assistance", click Allow

  • We'll give you a 6-digit security code (usually over the phone or by email)

✍️ Step 3: Enter the Code

  • Type the code we provided into the box

  • Click Submit

🧾 Step 4: Grant Permission

  • When prompted, click Allow to give us permission to view or control your screen

  • That’s it! We’re now connected and ready to assist

🔐 A Note on Safety

Quick Assist is secure and requires your permission before anything happens. You’ll always see what we’re doing, and you can end the session at any time by closing the window.

We only use Quick Assist with your knowledge and consent—for support, troubleshooting, or quick walkthroughs.
