Modern Technologies – Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of Modern Technologies’ services, including all in-shop, on-site, and remote services, as well as any use of our website or digital communications. By engaging with our business or accessing our website, you agree to these terms.

2. Definitions

  • “We,” “us,” “our” refers to Modern Technologies (Modern One Technologies LLC).

  • “You,” “customer,” “user” refers to any individual or business using our services or visiting our website.

3. Services Covered

We offer diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, data services, cybersecurity, and technology consulting across a wide range of electronic devices. Full service descriptions are available in-store and through our official communications.

4. Website Usage

All content on our website, including service descriptions, pricing, and informational articles, is for informational purposes only and subject to change without notice.
By using our website, you agree not to engage in any unauthorized access, data scraping, interference with functionality, or use of our materials for commercial gain without written permission.

5. Estimates & Authorizations

Service begins only after customer approval of the estimated cost. No work exceeding the approved estimate will be performed without your consent. Some services may require diagnostics before final pricing can be confirmed.

6. Diagnostic Fees

A non-refundable diagnostic fee may apply and will be disclosed in advance. This fee covers labor involved in evaluating the device, even if no repair is completed or if the device is deemed non-repairable.

7. Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of service completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept common forms of payment in-store. No credit, financing, or installment plans are offered.

8. Repair Warranty

We offer a 30-day limited warranty on labor and parts provided by us. The warranty covers issues related to the original service performed. It does not cover:

  • New, unrelated problems

  • Damage caused by misuse, impact, liquid, or power surges

  • Customer-supplied parts or third-party repairs

  • Software or operating system errors unrelated to original service

9. Data Loss & Responsibility

While we take precautions to protect your data, we are not liable for data loss during diagnostics or repair. It is your responsibility to back up important data before service.

10. Abandonment Policy

If a device or item is left unclaimed for more than 90 days after service completion or customer notification, it will be deemed abandoned. We reserve the right to sell, recycle, or dispose of such property. Prior to disposal, any personal data found on the device will be securely deleted or destroyed.

11. Customer-Supplied Parts

We may install parts provided by the customer, but do so without warranty or assurance of compatibility. We are not responsible for failures or complications resulting from customer-supplied components.

12. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service. We are not responsible for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages, including but not limited to lost data, lost revenue, or downtime.

13. Prohibited Activities

You may not use our services or website to commit illegal acts, access or alter system files, interfere with network security, or engage in any activity that compromises our operations or integrity.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute must first be addressed informally. If unresolved, both parties agree to mediation before pursuing legal action. Legal disputes shall be governed by Missouri law and resolved in the courts of Missouri.

15. Revisions to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Updates will apply to all future services and continued use of our website or business services signifies acceptance of the updated terms.
